Leeds STEP (Skills, Training and Employment Pathways)

Who's it for?

Individuals aged 25 years and over, residing in Leeds, unemployed and who have Drug & Alcohol Dependency. You need to be available for work, actively seeking work and not currently on the Government Work Programme.

What we offer


Individually tailored programmes to prepare participants for the world of work and to move them into sustainable employment

  • A holistic, flexible employability programme, including activities such as, confidence building, personal and social development, jobsearch, CV writing, application forms and interview techniques
  • Specialist advice or signposting to relevant organisations that can support with addressing other barriers to employment e.g. debt, housing.
  • Links to employers across Bradford to provide work experience and placement opportunities
  • Matching of participants to available job vacancies
  • Support for individuals and employers during work experience placements
  • In-work support for individuals and employers for 26 weeks
  • Supporting employers to understand the specific needs of the client group
