Young Persons Substance Misuse Worker
Hours of Work: Full time 37.5hours
We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to work within our Young Persons Substance misuse Service. The post holder will deliver a range of interventions from brief education through to structured extended interventions and specialist treatment interventions to Young People upto 21 years within the Bradford district. The service operates as outreach, as such requires travel across the district.
This service provides early intervention and highly structured treatment interventions for drug and/or alcohol misuse to young people up to the age of 21 years. Our service is designed to promote recovery from the harms of substance misuse and to secure positive health and well-being outcomes for Young People. We do this through delivery of focused interventions that are integrated into the wider context of support and services that reflect the needs and circumstances of each young person.
Young people will typically be seen at appropriate community venues of their choosing. These will be distinct from adult services and include home visits, schools, PRUs, college settings and community centres.

If you do not currently have DBS certificate for the level required for our posts (where applicable) and/or are not currently registered with the DBS Update Service, Bridge will pay for the appropriate level of DBS check should your application be successful. You will be expected to take out an annual subscription to DBS update service on receipt of your certificate, the cost of which Bridge will reimburse to you whilst you are in our employment. If you fail to register for the Update Service, and Bridge requires a further DBS check to be carried out (usually every 3 years), you will be required to pay for a new certificate.
