What we offer

Because young drug users can be very vulnerable services are very specialised and all staff possess qualifications in social work, medicine, youth work or nursing. Counselling, prescribing and family therapy are examples of interventions that may be used according to the individual/family needs.

The service is delivered in partnership with the Local Authorities Children’s Specialist Services, Alcohol and Drugs Team and the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
The service works as an integrated team and aims to prevent, reduce, or promote recovery from the harms of substance misuse and to secure the health and well-being of young people living in the district of Bradford. It does this through engaging and working in partnership with other young person’s services to educate and inform young people about the harms associated with the use/misuse of alcohol and other drugs and by providing clear and direct referral pathways to other specialist support services.

Young drug users will usually be seen at appropriate community venues distinct from adult services and home visits may be undertaken.

*Please telephone to check opening times of individual services as there may be slight variations.
