Why I became a trustee
I am the longest-serving trustee having accumulated 25 years volunteering my services to Bridge. Over this time, I have seen the organization respond to many changes. But Bridge has always managed to come through these challenges and is a great survivor. Bridge has shown great adaptability and flexibility and continues to evolve to serve those in need of substance misuse and related issues. I am really proud to be associated with the project, and it is great to see that it offers a brilliant service to the service users of the city of Bradford.

A bit about me
I am from a public sector financial and management background, having spent most of my working life with Bradford Council and Leeds City Council. I am a qualified accountant and currently a serving Magistrate. I am a great believer in helping others especially those who are less fortunate and in more difficult situations and circumstances. I have been a school governor for a number of years. I am a volunteer cricket coach involved in coaching youngsters and helping them along. I am also a volunteer and get involved with park run most Saturday mornings.

As a trustee I..
I serve the financial committee where I help to ensure that the Charity is managing its money responsibly and using it for its purpose and objectives and to ensure it meets its legal and financial reporting requirements and obligations.
