The Wellbeing Hubs are a Network of 6 community spaces run by a local partnership to provide a welcome, safe and confidential space for people to access a wide range of support for issues and concerns that are affecting their wellbeing. The Hubs are a one stop shop where people can confidentially work through any issues they are facing and be supported to get the right services and support quickly, including managing stress, mental or physical health, substance misuse, financial worries, domestic abuse and relationship issues. These Hubs are collectively known as The Wellbeing Network.
The Bridge Project is delivering a new project to provide a telephone befriending service embedded within, but not limited to, The Wellbeing Network which stretches across the entirety of the Bradford District. This is an exciting new telephone befriending service which will build on and apply the learning gained from the highly successful Together Talks Befriending service, which was also hosted by the Bridge Project throughout the Covid Pandemic.
We are looking to appoint a full-time Project Worker, initially for 6 months to assist in the co-design/development of a delivery model, working in close collaboration with other team members and the Wellbeing Network. The postholder will be based at Salem Street in Bradford.
You will provide safe recruitment of a range of volunteers, with a diverse skill mix from backgrounds representative of the local community, training, deployment, and supervision. The cohort of volunteer befrienders recruited will be capable of providing specialist support to vulnerable people. This will include contacting previous volunteers and providing an update about current telephone befriending volunteering opportunities, which is an easy way for them to sign back up if they wish.
We are looking for someone who can raise awareness and champion the value of volunteer befrienders and communicate effectively with the Wellbeing Network, ensuring the continuous provision of a service that is both high quality and relevant to the needs of the Wellbeing Network and clients. You will have experience of working in the voluntary sector, health or a care setting and have a passion to empower people to achieve positive health and wellbeing outcomes.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, be able to work independently and manage their time effectively along with excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of people. You will work with the Quality and Safeguarding Lead to develop and deliver volunteer inductions, safeguarding and role specific inductions.
This is a full-time post working Monday-Friday. A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check is also a requirement of the post.

The Bridge Project is a well-established, vibrant Charity with a dedicated team providing services to a broad range of people experiencing the effects of deprivation and health inequalities. We have an exciting opportunity and are looking to appoint a permanent full-time Housing Officer.
Bridge Recovery Housing is a new initiative providing individual homes and a high-quality housing management service for a small cohort of service users, involved in sex working as well as service users who are fleeing domestic violence.
This is a key role and the Housing Officer will be responsible for delivering and assisting in the development of all aspects of a responsive housing management service. You will work collaboratively with Bridge colleagues and a range of external partners, to help service users understand and meet the terms of their tenancies, with the goal of helping them sustain their accommodation.
We are looking for someone who has experience of providing a housing management service with a good knowledge of the wide range of housing management issues and legislation. You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively working independently but also as part of the bigger Bridge team, primarily with the Lotus and MARAC teams to ensure a high-quality service is maintained, whilst applying your knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety issues. You will be able to provide advice and information to service users about tenancies, money management and help to resolve disputes.
Another aspect of the role will be to assist Bridge’s Deputy Director (Supported Housing) to identify and source properties through private and social landlords, which will include managing relationships with third parties to ensure property standards are met. Enabling, empowering and encouraging service users to maintain a clean, healthy and safe home environment.
You will be passionate about changing lives and what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our service users, as situations can sometimes be difficult and challenging so you will need to be non-judgemental, with a sensitive attitude as our service users can often present in crisis.
There is an element of flexibility around working hours required. It is essential that you have a driving licence with access to a vehicle. A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check is also a requirement of the post.

The Liaison and Diversion service is a multi-disciplinary team operating across West Yorkshire. They work with vulnerable adults and young people who come into contact with the criminal justice system, with the aim of diverting individuals away from crime and into health, social care or other support organisations.
The postholder will lead on the substance misuse pathway in Wakefield, holding a complex caseload of clients. This will include arrest referral work in both the courts and the community and completing assessments to help form sentencing decisions specifically around community sentencing of drug rehabilitation/alcohol treatment requirements.
We are looking for a Substance Misuse Liaison Worker who holds a professional qualification in a related field eg. social care, health, education, police, probation, youth work or with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working with complex needs or of working in the criminal justice system in the last 5 years. This is a full-time role on a fixed term contract until March 2025.
The role can be pressurised and you will need knowledge of the legislative framework which underpins the Criminal Justice System along with a thorough understanding of the risks and needs that young people and vulnerable adults experience that are associated with adverse outcomes. You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills and be able to engage with clients with a trauma informed approach whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and across organisational boundaries. Experience of and the ability to liaise and build partnerships with the local substance misuse treatment service and other agencies is essential as well as the knowledge of the services available to people and their families.
The successful candidate will need an element of flexibility around working hours as some weekend work will be required. It is essential that you have a driving licence with access to a vehicle in order to travel around the District and transport service users. A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check at level 3 and police vetting is also a requirement of the post.

The Bridge Project has been providing support since 1983. We work with individuals, families and communities to improve people’s lives in a sustainable way, recognising that solutions are often complex. Today we have a strong staff team of 110 dedicated individuals who address a range of issues such as homelessness, substance misuse, sex working, housing, employment and lots more.
We have an exciting opportunity to work as a full-time Floating Support Worker within the Bridge Recovery Housing team. The role is on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2025, continuation is dependant on funding. This is a relatively new team and key role to support people with drug or alcohol problems by helping them to maintain their tenancy. You will be working in the community and visiting people in their own homes, so it is crucial that you have a driving licence and access to a vehicle in order to carry out this role. The people you will work with will be facing challenges and may be at risk of becoming homeless. It is therefore essential that you have experience of supporting people with vulnerabilities and/or challenging behaviour. At times people do present in a crisis situation so it is important that the successful candidate has excellent communication and negotiating skills and is able to work calmly and effectively with people and have a positive outlook and is able to build productive relationships.
We are looking for someone who can work independently, is highly organised and is able to manage their time effectively but who is also a team player. A good knowledge of housing management issues, safeguarding and welfare benefits and entitlement is essential.
This is a full-time post, Monday – Friday, however, there is an element of flexibility around working hours required by the postholder. A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check is also a requirement of the post.
