We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join our Bridge Recovery Housing team as a permanent Floating Support Worker.  In this key role, you’ll support people experiencing drug or alcohol challenges to help them maintain their tenancy and build stability in their lives.

You will work out in the community, visiting individuals in their own homes, so a full driving licence, access to a vehicle, and business insurance are essential.

The people you will support may be facing significant difficulties and could be at risk of homelessness.  Because of this, it is important that you have experience of working with individuals who have vulnerabilities and/or display challenging behaviour.  There will be times when people present in crisis, so we are looking for someone who can communicate clearly, negotiate effectively, remain calm under pressure, and approach situations with a positive, solution‑focused mindset.  Building strong, trusting relationships is key to success in this role.

You will be able to work independently and manage your time effectively but most of all you will be a team player.  A good knowledge of housing management issues, safeguarding and welfare benefits and entitlement is essential.

This is a 37.5-hour post, Monday – Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm, however, there is an element of flexibility around working hours required by the postholder.  A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check is also a requirement of the post.

Alongside a rewarding career, you’ll enjoy a benefits package designed to help you thrive:

  • Competitive salary that reflects your skills and contribution
  • 32 days of annual leave to rest, recharge, and enjoy life outside work
  • 5% employer pension contribution to support your long‑term financial security
  • A dedicated Learning & Development programme to help you grow and progress
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme offering confidential advice whenever you need it
  • Death‑in‑service benefit worth three times your salary for added peace of mind
  • Refer‑a‑friend bonus of £500 when you help us bring great people on board
  • Two hours of monthly wellbeing time to pause, connect, and reset with your team
  • A programme of mindfulness activities to boost focus on overall wellbeing

The Bridge Project is proud to be a Mindful Employer, championing a workplace where wellbeing truly matters.

If you would like to have an informal conversation about the role, please contact Peter Roebuck, Deputy Director on peter.roebuck@newvisionbradford.org.uk or 07974 909835.

The Bridge Project is currently looking to recruit a Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Navigator, on a full-time permanent basis, to work within our Bradford RESET service.  The Bradford RESET service, which stands for Recognising, Engaging and Supporting Everyone to Transform was launched in 2025. This innovative service brings a trauma-informed approach to support individuals who have caused or who are causing harm in their intimate and/ or family relationships and for those with additional complex needs within our community.  Bradford RESET is led by Bridge in partnership with Create Strength Group.

This is an exciting role, taking referrals and working with people who are identified as but may not self-identify as perpetrators of domestic abuse. Referrals into this element of Bradford RESET will come through two routes, 1.  the Integrated Offender Management (IOM) Police Team who are based within the DA Unit – for standard and medium risk cases and, 2. the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) – high risk cases.

Specifically, the post holder will work with standard, through to high-risk people harming in their intimate and/or family relationships. The primary role is to proactively engage and provide trauma informed motivational intervention and prevention to perpetrators, identifying their strengths and areas of unmet need and navigate people into a wide range of health and wellbeing services to meet these needs.  Once fully engaged in services and a reduction/ cessation of offending has been achieved, the post holder will work to engage the person into the longer-term support element of the Bradford RESET service. This will evolve clear transition processes to ensure full engagement, aimed at longer term cessation of offending and improved wellbeing.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide aspirational person-centred, trauma informed support through building a trusting relationship with the person to start to address issues that contribute to incidents of abuse.
  • Proactivity and intensively conduct face to face work with the perpetrator to build all the networks of support that wrap around the individual to facilitate recovery, building and sustaining hope.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic practitioner, who is positive and enthusiastic. The post is subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring check (the results of which would not necessarily exclude applicants from consideration).  The postholder requires a full driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance for work related purposes.

If you are passionate about what we do and would thrive working as part of our staff team, we would love to hear from you.

The Bridge Project is a long‑established charity in the heart of Bradford, dedicated to supporting people facing complex challenges such as substance use, homelessness, offending behaviours, and social disadvantage. We play a vital role in reducing inequalities by offering accessible, person-centred support, empowering individuals to overcome barriers and build healthier, more independent lives.

We are excited to share the launch of a newly established, trauma‑informed service, Bridge-Ways. Its main aim is to reduce prison recalls and improve resettlement outcomes for people leaving custody who present with multiple needs, sometimes described as complex needs.  We are seeking a Navigator on a full-time basis to join the team.

The service works intensively with those at elevated risk of recall, especially individuals facing housing insecurity. Through early engagement before release, the Navigator will form meaningful connections with beneficiaries (via online meetings and possibly face to face meetings) to support beneficiaries to make informed decisions about their transition from prison. The goal is to prevent unnecessary recalls.

The Navigator will focus on the following key areas:

  1. Early engagement with people in custody: Providing support to individuals prior to release, building relationships, identifying potential risks, and assessing housing and support needs.
  2. Intensive, person-centred navigation: Establishing trust and working closely with individuals as they move from custody to the community. This includes offering both practical and emotional support, securing emergency or approved accommodation, assisting individuals to understand and comply with licence conditions, providing daily outreach post-release, and advocating at appointments with Housing Options, health services, and other partners.
  3. Activate and sustain housing pathways: Collaborating directly with local authorities, CAS3 placements, hostels, and private landlords. The role involves preparing specialist risk and needs assessments to support housing applications, delivering ongoing intensive support to prevent tenancy breakdowns, and helping individuals transition from emergency arrangements to longer-term, sustainable housing.
  4. Coordinate multi-agency support: Serving as the primary link between the individual and wider services within Bradford, ensuring a holistic and joined-up approach to support.
  5. Contribute to system learning and service improvement: Playing an active role in gathering information via digital systems to track outcomes and participating in panels and multi-agency reviews as required.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals facing multiple and complex barriers as they transition from custody back into the community, with a strong commitment to trauma-informed practice.  A deep understanding of the criminal justice system is important, and you will be motivated to drive positive change, believe in the capacity for meaningful transformation, and are committed to maintaining accurate digital records for evaluation and service development.  As part of a newly established team, you will bring enthusiasm, resilience, and a collaborative spirit, ensuring a holistic, joined-up approach that supports people to build safer, healthier, and more independent lives.

It is essential that you have access to a reliable car, hold appropriate business car insurance, and be willing to use your car to transport people you support to appointments and meetings as needed, for which travelling expenses will be paid. This not only supports trust and inclusion but is essential for ensuring individuals can reach crucial services and supports in the community, particularly in situations where public transport may not be suitable or available. A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check is also a requirement of the post (the results of which would not necessarily exclude applicants from consideration).

If you are passionate about what we do, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Death‑in‑service benefit worth three times your salary for added peace of mind
  • Refer‑a‑friend bonus of £500 when you help us bring great people on board

  • A programme of mindfulness activities to boost focus on overall wellbeing
