Are you a passionate Recovery Coordinator ready to take your next big step?  We are on the lookout for a full‑time, permanent Outreach Recovery Coordinator who’s driven, compassionate, and excited to make a real difference. If that sounds like you, we’d love to welcome you on board.

New Vision Bradford is a partnership between the Bridge Project, Create Strength Group, Project 6 and Waythrough.  Under this umbrella, the partnership delivers an adult drug and alcohol service for the Bradford and Craven District, aiming to help people tackle the use of alcohol and drugs and reduce risk taking behaviours through dedicated prevention, intervention, and support.

This is a newly created outreach role within the Treatment Team, dedicated to supporting clients who are assessed by the service as requiring home interventions due to personal, social or medical circumstances.  As an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality substance misuse treatment directly to service users within their own homes or residential care settings. You will provide guidance and support to service users from their initial point of entry through to the completion of their treatment and recovery journey.

You will play a crucial role acting as the main care coordinator for an assigned group of service users, providing screening, asset mapping, comprehensive assessments, recovery planning and reviews of care.

To be considered for this role you will need 2 years’ full-time experience of working with people with alcohol and/or drug problems and/or people with complex and multiple needs within the last 4 years, as well as being able to demonstrate experience of case management and delivering care coordination in drug and alcohol or a directly related field.

We are looking for someone who is committed and passionate in this field of work and what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to help change lives.  You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively, working as part of the team with a co-operative approach to supporting colleagues delivering the service objectives, to ensure a high-quality service is maintained, whilst applying your knowledge and understanding of drug and alcohol issues.

There is an element of flexibility around working hours required by the postholder.  A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check is also a requirement of the post (the results of which would not necessarily exclude applicants from consideration).  As this is an outreach role, you will need to have a driving licence, use of a vehicle for work purposes and business insurance.

Alongside a rewarding career, you’ll enjoy a benefits package designed to help you thrive:

  • Competitive salary that reflects your skills and contribution
  • 32 days of annual leave to rest, recharge, and enjoy life outside work and statutory leave in addition to this
  • 5% employer pension contribution to support your long‑term financial security
  • A dedicated Learning & Development programme to help you grow and progress
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme offering confidential advice whenever you need it
  • Death‑in‑service benefit worth three times your salary for added peace of mind
  • Refer‑a‑friend bonus of £500 when you help us bring great people on board
  • Two hours of monthly wellbeing time to pause, connect, and reset with your team
  • A programme of mindfulness activities to boost focus on overall wellbeing
  • Access to a Blue Light Card, giving you discounts across hundreds of retailers, restaurants, and leisure brands.

The Bridge Project is proud to be a Mindful Employer, championing a workplace where wellbeing truly matters.

If you would like to have an informal conversation about the role, please contact Stuart Ginsburg, Team Leader on stuart.ginsburg@newvisionbradford.org.uk to arrange this.

You must complete the Bridge Project’s application form in order to be considered for the role.  The application form plays a key part in our recruitment and selection process.  We use the information you provide about your skills, experience, career and education history to decide whether or not to invite you for an interview.  It is important that you complete the application form as fully and accurately as possible, ensuring that you give specific examples which demonstrate how you meet the criteria.

The Bradford RESET service, which stands for Recognising, Engaging and Supporting Everyone to Transform is an innovative service bringing a trauma-informed approach to support individuals who have caused or who are causing harm in their intimate and/ or family relationships and for those with additional complex needs within our community.  Bradford RESET is led by Bridge in partnership with Create Strength Group.

Bradford RESET uniquely combines two existing services focused on domestic abuse, delivered by Bridge, with an extensive new programme offer for individuals aged 16 and over who cause harm. This integration creates a vibrant opportunity for Bradford to tackle the underlying causes of domestic abuse by providing effective, therapeutic, and proactive support. We also recognise the importance of holistic family wellness and safety, offering therapeutic support for entire families affected by the behaviours of individuals involved in the programme.

The Case Worker will be part of a wider team and is dedicated to the element of the Bradford RESET service.

We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic person who is fully committed to working within a dynamic delivery model. We seek an individual who prioritises collaboration and inclusivity.

You will be engaging with people aged 16+ of any gender, referred or self-referring to the service, who are harming or have harmed in their family and/or intimate relationships. This includes those with varying motivations to change, outstanding charges, ongoing criminal investigations, family court proceeding or re-offending during their involvement with the service. The Case Worker will be working within our trauma-informed model that addresses the root causes of domestic abuse, proactively engaging with resistance and compliance challenges through therapeutic individual and group work programmes. Each component not only focuses on behaviour change but also addresses broader health and wellbeing determinants. This service is committed to inclusive practices, believing that people’s wellbeing and safety are significantly improved when they are actively engaged in our programmes.

This is a part time vacancy for 33 hours per week on a 12-month fixed term contract, continuation is subject to funding/and an enhanced disclosure and barring check (the results of which would not necessarily exclude applicants from consideration).

This post would benefit from a full driving licence and use of a vehicle, due to traveling to sites for the delivery of services, for which travel expenses will be paid.

If you are passionate about what we do and would thrive working as part of our staff team, we would love to hear from you.  We welcome applications from people who are males who are currently underrepresented in the service.

About the Drive Project (Bradford)

The Drive Project is not a pilot or test programme, it is a well-established national model, currently being rolled out across England, reflecting sustained national commitment to coordinated, whole-system responses to domestic abuse. In Bradford, the service is being delivered by The Bridge Project in partnership with the Drive Central Team and West Yorkshire Combined Authority and will be fully embedded within local safeguarding and partnership arrangements from the outset.

The Drive Project works with individuals who pose the highest risk of causing serious harm within intimate or family relationships. The programme combines intensive individual case management with a coordinated multi-agency response, creating the conditions for accountability, behaviour change and sustained risk reduction, while keeping victim and survivor safety at the centre of all activity.

The Bradford Drive service will be delivered by a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team, comprising of:

  • 1 Service Manager (full time), providing operational leadership, safeguarding oversight, model fidelity and day-to-day supervision and management of the service
  • 4 full time Case Managers, working directly with individuals who cause harm to challenge abusive behaviour, promote responsibility, and sustain engagement over time
  • 2 full time Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs), providing specialist, victim-centred advocacy, safety planning and risk management; IDVAs receive additional external clinical supervision alongside in-house specialist support
  • 1 full time Administrative and Panel Coordinator, responsible for managing the Drive Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Panel, including intelligence flow, action tracking and multi-agency coordination

The team will operate with fidelity to the Drive model, a trauma-informed, strengths-based framework, balancing challenge and accountability with engagement and support. Staff will work closely with a range of systems and services such as police, probation, children’s and adult safeguarding, housing, health and specialist adult and child domestic abuse services to ensure a coordinated and effective response to high-risk harm and victim/ survivor safety.

Funding and Retention

The Drive Programme is currently funded through a Home Office national programme. While funding beyond March 2027 remains subject to government spending reviews and funding cycles, Drive is a well-established, evidence-based model that is currently under national roll-out, reflecting continued national prioritisation of whole-system responses to high-harm domestic abuse.

In recognition of the commitment involved in joining a time-limited, externally funded programme, we will offer a £2,000 retention payment. This will be paid through the March 2027 payroll to staff who successfully complete the full funded period. The payment is guaranteed and will be made regardless of whether the programme continues beyond this date.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for skilled, values-driven practitioners who are committed to reducing harm and improving safety for children and adults affected by domestic abuse. You will bring relevant professional experience, strong assessment, engagement and communication skills, and the ability to work confidently with complexity, risk and challenge. Across all roles, we are seeking people who can balance clear boundaries and accountability with empathy, curiosity and respect, and who are able to work reflectively within a trauma-informed, strengths-based framework.

You will be comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and in close partnership with other agencies, sharing information appropriately and contributing to collective decision-making. We are particularly keen to hear from people who value learning, supervision and reflective practice, and who want to help shape and embed a high-quality service within a well-established national model.

We are looking to build a team that reflects the breadth of Bradford’s communities and can work confidently, respectfully and effectively with individuals and families across the city. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and value cultural awareness, curiosity and competence.  Relevant language skills are also welcomed and valued.
