Liaison and Diversion

Who's it for?

Liaison and Diversion (L&D) services identify people who have mental health, learning disability, substance misuse or other vulnerabilities when they first come into contact with the criminal justice system as suspects, defendants or offenders.


What we offer


The service aims to reduce risk factors by diverting individuals away from crime and into health, social care or other appropriate services through signposting and short term support.

The service which is led by Wakefield Council, operates across the whole of West Yorkshire and Bridge employs specialist Substance Misuse Support Time Recovery Workers embedded within multi disciplinary teams.
