About the Role

Are you looking for a new challenge where no two days are the same!  We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Administrator and Resource Worker and would love to hear from you.

The Bridge Project is a Bradford-based charity providing services and support for over 4,900 people every year. Our multi-specialist provision includes young people, and families; drugs and alcohol; criminal justice and offender rehabilitation; employment, training, and skills; health and wellbeing, and housing and housing support.

We work across communities providing flexible services where we can add value. Our specialism is supporting people facing multiple disadvantages and experiencing a combination of problems. For many, their current circumstances are shaped by long-term experiences of poverty, deprivation, trauma, abuse, and neglect.

This is a key role and would ideally be suited to someone who has excellent administrative/reception skills and experience but would like to develop their skills through also working directly with people who use our services, supporting key activities within our on-site Reconnect Wellbeing Centre.

You will be an organised, confident professional who is positive, optimistic and self-motivated who enjoys connecting with people and the variety of work.  It is essential that you have at least one years’ experience in an administrative setting with sound administrative skills and people skills and lots of common sense, but you will also enjoy getting to know and helping people who use our services.  Bridge works with people who experience severe multiple unmet needs who will present in crisis.  Therefore, a commitment to kindness, having a non-judgemental approach and person-centred compassionate care is essential.

Working as part of a small team to provide organisational support, it is important to be a team player, along with having a methodical approach to tasks with lots of attention to detail.  You will support Facilities with regular health and safety checks in the building, such as routine fire alarm checks, panic alarm and emergency lighting checks and will be the main point of contact in terms of IT and mobile phones.

Supporting Multi-agency meetings is another aspect of the role.  We are looking for someone who is able to minute complex and sensitive meetings accurately and with detail whilst maintaining confidentiality and ensuring that meeting papers are prepared to a high standard and distributed.

The successful candidate will be able to work Monday – Friday, 8.30 am until 4.30 pm with some flexibility around working hours.  A willingness to undergo a DBS check is a requirement of this post.

In return, as well as a rewarding career, we can offer a competitive salary, 4% pension contribution, generous annual leave entitlement, an L&D programme, employee assistance scheme, life insurance, a monthly team wellbeing session and a programme of mindfulness activities for staff.  The Bridge Project is a Mindful Employer.

If you would like to have an informal conversation about the role, please contact Alan Bennett, Senior Administrator on alan.bennett@thebridgeproject.org.uk

You must complete the Bridge Project’s application form in order to be considered for the role.  The application form plays a key part in our recruitment and selection process.  We use the information you provide about your skills, experience, career and education history to decide whether or not to invite you for an interview.  It is important that you complete the application form as fully and accurately as possible, ensuring that you give specific examples which demonstrate how you meet the criteria.
