MARRS

Multi-Agency Reducing Reoffending Support (MARRS)

MARRS provides intensive one-to-one support for people on probation, helping them reduce the risk of reoffending by tackling the issues that matter most. We work alongside individuals to address at least 2 underlying unmet needs, including:

  • Housing stability
  • Physical and mental health
  • Financial challenges
  • Difficulties related to substance use

MARRS is a project developed in partnership with Bradford Probation and funded through the Community Safety Partnership and Public Health. The service is designed for people on probation who fall below the criteria for Integrated Offender Management (IOM) support, but who have been identified as at risk of reoffending and would benefit from additional, focused support to make positive changes in their lives.

Referral Criteria

  1. All referrals must come directly from Probation staff
  2. Referrals should only be made for people who:
    • Have two or more underlying unmet needs
    • Are not currently engaged with services for these needs
    • Have been assessed as at risk of reoffending, typically indicated by an Offending Risk Score (ORGS) of 75% or higher

What Support Includes

  • Comprehensive assessment of strengths and needs
  • Co-produced action plan tailored to individual goals
  • Intensive one-to-one support, covering:
    • Housing
    • Benefits, training, and employability
    • Attending appointments and advocacy
    • Substance use

Our approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, practical, and focused on building the foundations for a safer, more stable future.
