 About the Drive Project (Bradford)

The Drive Project is not a pilot or test programme, it is a well-established national model, currently being rolled out across England, reflecting sustained national commitment to coordinated, whole-system responses to domestic abuse. In Bradford, the service is being delivered by The Bridge Project in partnership with the Drive Central Team and West Yorkshire Combined Authority and will be fully embedded within local safeguarding and partnership arrangements from the outset.

The Drive Project works with individuals who pose the highest risk of causing serious harm within intimate or family relationships. The programme combines intensive individual case management with a coordinated multi-agency response, creating the conditions for accountability, behaviour change and sustained risk reduction, while keeping victim and survivor safety at the centre of all activity.

The Bradford Drive service will be delivered by a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team, comprising of:

  • 1 Service Manager (full time), providing operational leadership, safeguarding oversight, model fidelity and day-to-day supervision and management of the service
  • 4 full time Case Managers, working directly with individuals who cause harm to challenge abusive behaviour, promote responsibility, and sustain engagement over time
  • 2 full time Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs), providing specialist, victim-centred advocacy, safety planning and risk management; IDVAs receive additional external clinical supervision alongside in-house specialist support
  • 1 full time Administrative and Panel Coordinator, responsible for managing the Drive Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Panel, including intelligence flow, action tracking and multi-agency coordination

The team will operate with fidelity to the Drive model, a trauma-informed, strengths-based framework, balancing challenge and accountability with engagement and support. Staff will work closely with a range of systems and services such as police, probation, children’s and adult safeguarding, housing, health and specialist adult and child domestic abuse services to ensure a coordinated and effective response to high-risk harm and victim/ survivor safety.

Funding and Retention

The Drive Programme is currently funded through a Home Office national programme. While funding beyond March 2027 remains subject to government spending reviews and funding cycles, Drive is a well-established, evidence-based model that is currently under national roll-out, reflecting continued national prioritisation of whole-system responses to high-harm domestic abuse.

In recognition of the commitment involved in joining a time-limited, externally funded programme, the organisation offers a £2,000 retention payment. This will be paid through the March 2027 payroll to staff who successfully complete the full funded period. The payment is guaranteed and will be made regardless of whether the programme continues beyond this date.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for skilled, values-driven practitioners who are committed to reducing harm and improving safety for children and adults affected by domestic abuse. You will bring relevant professional experience, strong assessment, engagement and communication skills, and the ability to work confidently with complexity, risk and challenge. Across all roles, we are seeking people who can balance clear boundaries and accountability with empathy, curiosity and respect, and who are able to work reflectively within a trauma-informed, strengths-based framework.

You will be comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and in close partnership with other agencies, sharing information appropriately and contributing to collective decision-making. We are particularly keen to hear from people who value learning, supervision and reflective practice, and who want to help shape and embed a high-quality service within a well-established national model.

We are looking to build a team that reflects the breadth of Bradford’s communities and can work confidently, respectfully and effectively with individuals and families across the city. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and value cultural awareness, curiosity and competence.  Relevant language skills are also welcomed and valued.

If you would like to have an informal conversation about the role, please contact Emma Sirrell on emma.sirrell@bradford-drive.org.uk to arrange this.

The Bridge Project has been supporting people across Bradford since 1983. We work with individuals, families and communities to create lasting, positive change, recognising that people’s needs are often complex. Our dedicated team of around 120 staff, helps address a wide range of challenges, including housing instability, health and wellbeing, employment barriers and more.

We are looking for a forward-thinking Finance Manager to play a pivotal role across the organisation, with a particular focus on our supported housing projects. This is an exciting new position that not only takes on key responsibilities from our Director of Finance, but also additional work linked to our housing projects as we grow.

With major expansion planned over the next two years and our journey towards becoming a Registered Provider of Social Housing (RP) well underway, this is a rare opportunity to shape the financial foundations of a rapidly developing housing portfolio.

The Finance Manager will line manage the Finance Administrator, who undertakes much of Bridge’s day-to-day finance processing, and will work closely with the Director of Finance on organisational wide financial management.

Because of our size, the post will cover a range of financial responsibilities that in larger organisation would be divided across several posts.  These responsibilities will include; managing income and expenditure for our housing projects; oversight of the organisation’s purchase ledger; payroll; producing internal management accounts and financial monitoring reports to funders; assisting with organisational budgeting, annual accounts and the audit process. This makes the role ideally suited to someone with a broad range of accounting and financial experience and skills, ideally with either a social housing or charity background.

We are looking for someone who is a part-qualified or a fully qualified accountant, with knowledge of UK accounting regulations.  Strong financial reporting and analytical skills along with an understanding of payroll processes and systems is essential.

This is a full-time permanent position, with the potential for hybrid working.   A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check is also a requirement of the post.

If you would thrive working as part of our supportive and positive staff team, we’d love to hear from you.  Alongside a rewarding career, you’ll enjoy a benefits package designed to help you thrive:

  • Competitive salary that reflects your skills and contribution
  • 32 days of annual leave to rest, recharge, and enjoy life outside work
  • 5% employer pension contribution to support your long‑term financial security
  • A dedicated Learning & Development programme to help you grow and progress
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme offering confidential advice whenever you need it
  • Death‑in‑service benefit worth three times your salary for added peace of mind
  • Refer‑a‑friend bonus of £500 when you help us bring great people on board
  • Two hours of monthly wellbeing time to pause, connect, and reset with your team
  • A programme of mindfulness activities to boost focus on overall wellbeing

The Bridge Project is a Bradford based charity with over 35 years’ experience delivering services and projects addressing a range of issues such as drug and alcohol use, risk taking behaviours, relationships, housing, physical/mental health, and employment.  We work with individuals, families, partners, and communities to improve people’s lives in a sustainable way, empowering people experiencing multiple barriers to achieve positive change.

We’re pleased to share an exciting opportunity to become part of our well-established multiple needs navigation service, as one of three Navigators, supported by a Senior and the Service Manager, delivering support to people who are at risk of re-offending and are managed by Probation Services. The cohort of people have multiple needs and find it difficult to engage in services for a variety of reasons.

This trainee Navigator role aims to improve the lives and wellbeing of people with multiple needs who find it difficult to engage in services, as identified by the Probation Service, revolve in and out of services or are excluded from services. Navigators will work in an outreach capacity to help people who experience multiple needs (housing, drug and alcohol use, offending behaviour, mental health, and physical health) to access the services and the interventions that they need to build their resilience, gain confidence, and acquire the personal and social assets they need to meet their aspirations.

You will be working in a supportive team providing important and meaningful support to those who need it, while gaining knowledge and experience of working with clients in specialist services.  You will be provided with training and development opportunities, mentoring and supervision sessions.

The traineeship will run for 12 months.  There will be a salary uplift awarded at 6 months, if you successfully meet the agreed milestones and demonstrate competence at a satisfactory level.  At the end of the traineeship, you will be expected to have reached a level of knowledge and experience to enable you to apply for other roles within The Bridge Project or other similar support services.

Bridge is a value driven organisation and we are looking for a trainee who can demonstrate our key behaviours such as working proactively, being client focussed and values and respects others.  You will place individuals at the heart of your interactions, with the ability to build up a rapport and trust, with personal skills around warmth, compassion, empathy and resilience with a desire to help people and get things done.  Often situations can sometimes be difficult and challenging so you will need to have a non-judgemental approach and strong professional boundaries.
