Bradford RESET (Recognise, Engage and Support Everyone to Transform) is a trauma informed, multi-component service supporting individuals 16+ years who have harmed, or are at risk of harming, others in intimate or family relationships.
The service is rooted in the principles of trauma-informed care and fully aligned with Home Office Guidance: Working with people who harm 2023. Bradford RESET works with a wide spectrum of individuals, recognising that people-who-harm are not a homogeneous group. While many interventions in the UK have historically focused on behaviour change alone, this programme adopts a deeper and more holistic view, addressing the complex roots of harmful behaviour not just the behaviours themselves.
The programme offers structured, therapeutic interventions alongside integrated support for current or former partners and wider family members affected by the individual’s behaviour. We work with the person in their wider context: exploring the origins of harm, building insight and accountability, and supporting a transition towards safe, respectful relationships.
Our team navigates this complexity with skill, consistency, and compassion forming constructive, therapeutic relationships that both support change and hold individuals to account. We work from a position of neutrality. Our stance is neither punitive nor permissive we are facilitators of change, not enforcers or sympathisers.
In parallel, we provide support, safety, and voice for family members and others affected by the participant’s behaviour.
Commissioned by Bradford Council, the service replaces the MAZE programme from 1st April 2025 and introduces a refreshed delivery model grounded in accountability, support, and long-term change.
